The Poway Lions Club Special Projects:

• Chartered in 1960 with a disire to furnish little league teams. 1997 Poway Lions donated $7,000 for construction of little league lights
• Sponsoring club for the Poway Rodeo. The club holds a pancake breakfast the Sat before the Rodeo
• July 4th Hotdog and Bean fest in old Poway park
• Provided over 15,000 children with eye exams. And throughout Poway Lions history have collected more than 120,000 pairs of used eyeglasses.
• Providing financial assitance to people of North county blind center
• Poway lions has donated more than 20,000 in assitance to hurrican victims abraod
